Raising Cattle in the Chaco Region

Kielder Agro Paraguay operates 9,247 hectares in Boquerón, in the heart of the Chaco region, with a focus on sustainable, 100% grass-fed beef production. The farm combines 5,353 ha of pasture with 3,894 ha of preserved forest, emphasizing high animal welfare, minimal external inputs, and low environmental impact. Cattle breeds (Nelore, Brangus, Braford) are selected for resilience to heat and disease, thriving in a rotational grazing system adapted to local climate and soils.

The project supports local development, generating 80+ jobs during its initial phase and employing 10 full-time staff in full operation. Community impact includes sourcing from local suppliers and covering education costs for workers’ children. With a rain-fed system and no irrigation, the farm enhances soil regeneration and biodiversity.

Looking ahead, Kielder Agro Group aims to increase productivity, expand regenerative practices, and deepen its community engagement, building a scalable model for sustainable cattle production in the Chaco.
